A small QR card on free-tier renders — it adapts light or dark to the pixels beneath it, and it comes and goes in phases rather than sitting on every frame; short renders naturally see more of it. Disclosed in the CLI before anything renders. Paid tiers remove it. That’s all.

Is anything feature-gated?
No. Every tier has the same templates, the same resolutions and the same engine — there is no capability you can only buy. Free adds the attribution mark, which means the finished file is re-encoded once to composite it. Pro skips that pass and writes your render untouched. Business changes the license scope, not the software.
Why does Business exist?
Transparency about scale. The Pro license covers individuals and companies under $1M in annual revenue or total funding. Past that line, m0saic is licensed by organizational scale — the same structure Unity, Qt, and CockroachDB use. Under $1M, you never think about this.
How does licensing work?
Yearly keys are fulfilled by email today — one click above, pay the invoice, and your key arrives within a day (monthly checkout is coming). Then m0saic activate <key>. No account, no sign-in, and rendering never phones home — the key works offline.
